Standing Basics - Niahanchi Ashi Fumi (Horse Stance, Stomp)

Moving Basics - Morate Uke Mijikaitsuki (Reinforced Middle Block and Snap Punch)

Keri Soto Uke to Tsuki (Front Kick, Middle Block, and Reverse Punch)

Soto Uke Keri to Tsuki (Middle Block, Front Kick, Reverse Punch)

Month 2:

Kata- Pinan Shodan

Quadrant Drill-Steps 13-18

Month 3:

Kumite- 1 Step Kumite Chest Punch Attack v/s Middle Knife Hand Block and Sweep (Inside and Outside)

Self Defense- Shoulder Grab (Over and Under)

Perseverance – Jigatia Stance Single Punching (as many as you can do)

Kumite – You Punch, I Punch (Chest, Sweeps)

Kumite- 1 Step Kumite: 2 Basic Kicks – Front, Side (Blocks-low block, and wrist block, low knife hand block, and swing block)

Essay Topic Chosen and Approved

Perseverance – Knuckle Pushups (as many as you can do)

Essay Printed or Written and Given to Sensei to Review

Month 5:

Standing Basics – Back Kick (Front Stance)

Atemi- Elbow

Self Defense- Single Lapel (arm Reach Out, Step Back, Arm Bar, Arm Break Striking)

Essay Memorized and Spoken To Sensei


Month 6:

Kumite- 1 Step Kumite Kicking Attacks (2 Basic Kicks – Roundhouse, Back)

TEST at end of 6 Months

All techniques in Japanese


Month 1:

Standing Basics - Mae Geri, Yoko Geri (Feet together, Front Kick, Side Kick)

Month 2:

Self Defense- Head Lock

Perseverance - Jump Rope (as long as you can)


Month 4:

Self Defense-Against the Wall, Switch

Kumite – 5, 6, 7 Omine Kumite

Month 6:

Sparring

-3 or more Attacks with Variety, Attack and Block Correctly, Basics(Distance, Hands, Circle)
