Tegumi " 2 = Geidan tsuki (inside reverse low shuto to bridge, palm heel to forearm, choke wrist, body slap, palm heel to jaw, overhead tetsui to forearm, forearm smash to neck) (transfer is shoulder push)

 

6th testing stripe requirements after 18 weeks:

Kumite- Semi-free One Step Kumite (Face punch or Roundhouse Kick off of either front or rear leg, Defender Blocks and Counters)

Tegumi 3 = extended kake uke (inside forearm smashes, kake uke, middle block/backfist, grab then shuto, press, one punches, circle, other punches, circle, hard inward rotation press, striking block smashes, low block) (auto transfer)

 

7th testing stripe requirements after 21 weeks:

Kata- Pinan Sandan

Tegumi 4 = Push (shuto circular pushing) (transfer x arms push)

 

8th testing stripe requirements after 24 weeks:

Essay- Warm-ups

Quadrant Drill-Steps 24-36

 Tegumi 6 = Maewashi jodan tsuki #1 (angled middle or shuto block, other hand goes under near elbow to push up/across, double check puch, throw counter maewashi tsuki) (transfer is duck)

 

6th testing stripe requirements after 18 weeks:

Kumite- Semi-free One Step Kumite (Face punch, Chest punch, or Low Punch- Defender Blocks and Counters)

Tegumi 7 = Enpi uchi (receive elbow with open outside middle block, other hand under and puch across/up, double check push, return counter elbow) (transition is grab and pull elbow forward)

 

7th testing stripe requirements after 21 weeks:

Kata- Pinan Yondan

8th testing stripe requirements after 24 weeks:

Essay- How to teach an appropriate, challenging, and interesting work-out for adults.

Tegumi 8 = chudan tsuki (lady looks in mirror variation, forearm smash, return verticle punch or reg) (transition is to tell your partner 2 coming and punch twice as stepping)

Perseverance- Knuckle Pushups (as many as you can in a row)

 

9th testing stripe requirements after 27 weeks:

All of the Above

TEST at end of 27 weeks 

 

Adult Brown Belt with 2 Black Stripes

1st testing stripe :Standing Basics - Front, Side, Back Kick (alternating sides, but all 3 kicks with same leg),

MinjikaitsukiPerserverence - Spider Pushups or Fingertip Pushups (keep a log on your attendance card on how many you     do each class. Must have done 5 times in class before doing as many as you can for stripe)

Tegumi 9 = Jodan tetsui (inside high response, transfer attacker's arm as you use your elbow to create arm bar on elbow, cut across using the elbow arm to get upwards wrist lock, step through to practice takedown, come back and push face using body for arm bar, squat jigotia arm bar)

 

2nd testing stripe:

Kata - Pinan Nidan

Kumite - Pinan Nidan Bunkai

 

3rd testing stripe:

Recite and Explain - How to lead an appropriate, challenging, and interesting work-out.     (Must keep a log on your card when you teach a class. Must help with 5 of any classes, and teach     1 of every different class - Mighty Mite, Junior WYO, etc)

Self Defense- Against the Wall, Switch

 

4th testing stripe:

Kata - Pinan Godan

Tegumi 10 = Upper cut/body shot (inside low response with throat poke, tricep shuto, lock arm behind hiding face, hand up for elbow, hand over face, shoulder manipulation) (transition is push)

 

5th testing stripe:

Kumite - Advanced Omine Kumite #1

Tegumi 11 = Maewashi jodan tsuki #2 (Pinan Yondan app, high shuto receive a swinging face punch as palm heel past forehead, pull head in and pull wrist to hikite, bicep punch, pull back as elbow, roll, headbutt, push) (transition is switch after 2)

 

6th testing stripe:

Semi-Free One Step Kumite (Attacker executes Front, Side, Roundhouse, or Back kick to any target. You     block and counter. Wear Sparring Gear)Essay - Ok a topic with Sensei.

Tegumi 12 = Old man on Pole (upper outward shuto as reverse ridge hand to neck, break posture using hit on elbow to transfer wrist to arm bar, crotch hit, swing arm behind, up and around, then hammerfist to back of head and knee) (transition is to roll him out at end and finish with armbar or punch)

 

7th testing stripe:

Makiwara - Demonstrate all methods of makiwara training. (Keep a log on your card everyday that you use     it for 100 techniques or more). At least 4000 hits required.?

8th testing stripe:

Atemi - Seiken (punch). Either held, supported by blocks, or some of both. Use rebreakable boards. Keep a     log on your card with how many, what color you have done.

9th testing stripe:

Essay -  Have a written copy to hand in and be able to say it. One page, double spaced is enough

Pinan Shodan Bunkai (First perform kata, then perform attack with assistant doing the kata)

Omine Advanced Kumite  #1, #2 and #3  (Right side attack, defense only)

Semi - Free One Step Kumite:

Attacker initiates any single attack and then stops.  Defender blocks and counters. (Wear safety gear)

 

 Makiwara:

5-7 Combination or Turning Variations.  (Keep a log on your attendance card)

 

Atemi:

3-Way Break

 

Fitness and Perseverance:

            Student’s choice  (7 Mile course in under 1:25, run a 5k race under 25 minutes), 4 basic kicks on bag - 2 minutes each - nonstop, Stairs). This can either be demonstrated during the demonstration or an oral report of your efforts and your result.
